25mm Premium Flat Brush for Carbon Skinning Solvent Resistant

IMG_1765-removebg

Anyone who has ever laminated a component knows the issue, cheap brushes loose a lot of bristles. A headache, especially with the first layer of epoxy resin. The loose bristles have to be fished out of the epoxy, often damaging the fibers while doing so. It also happens that a bristle is overlooked, which then perpetuates itself in the carbon skinned part. Not to mention the high cost of a bad quality brush that only gives you a headache, and where cleaning and reusing is far from an option.

The solution: Our brush consists of a wooden handle to which the bristles are attached with a metal clip. The high quality soft bristles are also embedded in a 100% solvent resistant potting mass. At the same time, the brush will not lose bristles. In our process, after applying the epoxy, the parts are not checked for lost bristles, because we have full confidence in our brushes.

Brush cleaning:
Immediately after applying the epoxy, roughly pre-clean with clean paper towels and fresh acetone (e.g. from a pump sprayer). Then immerse in a sealable container with acetone and wash out again. Repeat this process 2 times. Then leave the brush in the acetone container and remove it after about 2-3 hours. Now clean again with clean acetone. After about 4-5 hours, the brush can be used again after the bristles have been kneaded out by hand. Any epoxy residue in the brush will then fall off by itself, as the epoxy in small quantities does not bond with the bristles.
Please note: When laminating, the epoxy resin should only be applied to the lower half of the bristles. A fully dipped brush can also be cleaned, but the service life is of course longer if only the tips of the bristles are used. In general, the brushes can be cleaned properly at least 8 times, this also depends on the viscosity of the resin used. In our experience, however, the brushes are cheaper than cheap disposable brushes due to their very good reusability and produce better results.

All parts are manufactured to 100% with epoxy resin. We attach great importance to quality and do not use polyester resin, as this significantly impairs the appearance. See Quality standard. Brand names (e.g. BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc.) are for descriptive purposes only. In the strict sense, therefore, they are not original carbon parts, but replicas. All prices include 19% VAT.
